Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard is on the cover of Playboy (on newsstands now), and she went on Late Show With David Letterman Thursday to discuss:
Beard said her father was "cool with it" when she told him she'd be in Playboy, and that her boyfriend was pleased.
Most of the discussion, though, was about her swimming career. Beard allowed Letterman to smell her as proof that she doesn't always smell like chlorine, and she told him that although she's "a grandma" as a 25-year-old in the young-women's game of swimming, she plans to compete in Beijing in 2008 and possibly in London in 2012.
Yes, I'm aware that there are sites out there that have posted all of Beard's Playboy pics, but I won't be linking to them. That's not how I roll.

What about her Olympic doping? What dirty tricks are found inside her medical dossiers?
Her teammare Amy Van Dykne was subpoenaed for Balco doping inquiries and her alliance with designer steroid (tHG) dealer Patrick Arnold. Did Amanda use undetectable peptide hormones tHG, hGH, EPO, insulin?
Ian Thorpe abruptly retired at age 23. We now learn that Thorpe flunked a T/E ratio urine test last summer. A retested 'B' sample confirmed exogenous testosterone AND female ferility hormone hCG (choroinic gandatropin) a lutenining agent which counters steroid induced testicular atrophy.
Women athletes (swimmers) are notorious for using testosterone, hGH, birth control (as a masking excuse for high T/E ratios), EPO, Salbutamol and liquid amphetamines.
Without female hormones therapies to counter the testosterone-based boost--Beard would grow a beard.
I kid you not!
Nike says LIVE WRONG!
They are all doped on Amanda's level.
