Stephanie Rice is just 19 years old, but already she holds two world records -- in the 200m and 400m individual medleys. Her first impact internationally was at the 2007 Worlds, where she earned a pair of bronze medals. But she's gotten better since then, shattering the world records in the 400 IM by 1.42 seconds and in the 200 IM by nearly a full second.

More recently, Stephanie caused a stir in her native land when Facebook photos of her partying with friends attracted the attention of Swimming Australia, which subsequently instituted stern regulations on the privacy settings for social networking sites and on the kinds of photos swimmers were allowed to post.
The offending photos? A skimpy policeman costume, some dancing in a bar, and some alcoholic beverages with friends (the drinking age is 18 in Australia). You can see those and more in the gallery below.

First off, its legal for a 19 yr old to drink in australia,so the drink is no big deal. About being the first 19 yr old to dance in a bar !!!! Grow up and get a life .Its happened for years there!! You are just looking to make a name for yourself ! You aren't even smart enough to research the laws before you write the story !!!

I am an older master swimmer, and I know that Stephanie Rice may train harder than most proffessional athaletes. There is nothing with wrong Stephanie getting out letting out some of the pressure that she may have on her shoulders. because the next day she is getting up and swimming 20 miles. These olympans need to feel that they do have a life, and be able to live a little bit. Denny

Ummmm... the picture of the the girls with the bottle is...suggestive. Remember... she represents the Australian Institute of Sport and they can regulate whatever they like when it comes to their athletes. Most amatuer sports organizations would prefer their represenative athletes to portray a more morally wholesome healthy image.
