It's going to be an embarrassing day at the office for people who get their news from the Christian web site One News Now. The water cooler conversation about sports is going to get awkward when they say, "Did you see the record set by Tyson Homosexual?"
Yes, One News Now, which describes itself as providing "your latest news from a Christian perspective," calls the Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay "Tyson Homosexual."
Jim Buzinski of Outsports explains that the site has set a filter to change the word "gay" to "homosexual," and they don't bother to look at the context of the story before applying the filter. And that's how Gay became Homosexual.

He ran like he was on fire. I guess that would make him a "Flaming Homosexual" in the Christian Right's eyes.
/I'll show myself out.

It is appalling to classify an individual in this manner. I hope Tyson works this issue through his attorney, this is sad and very demeaning to one's character. Tyson's family should be armed to speak out about this as well. This man should be entitled to represent his country and allow his name the rightful grace to be inscripted in the record books as he was born to be (One of America's greatest sprinters-TYSON GAY!!!!) These people need to go somewhere with this nonsense!!

(John 8) Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more."
(Nothing short of this should spew forth from the Body of Christ)

Look, the website has an automatic filter. It wasn't as if they changed his name on purpose to be insulting. Clearly there was no ill will or intent to be derogatory. In fact I imagine the website automatically changes the word "gay" to "homosexual" to be politically sensitive.
At any rate those of you who have slandered the character of the people who produce and read the website by calling them "freaks" and "morons" are guilty of the same thing you criticized them of. But you are guilty of the greater sin because that makes you a hypocrite.

It's not an error that spell-check would have picked up.
Does anyone know if ONN published an apology for the mistake?
Someone commented, hoping Tyson gets his lawyer.
Most Christians would forgive and forget.

#6 Byran was the best, he said it all right there. That's why I'm no longer a "christian" - too much hypocrisy, not enough love and forgiveness, it's sad, too sad for words. Thanks Byran.

Wow.. the posters on here are such babies. I hope he works through this? He needs to sue somebody? These people are freaks?
Yeah, I'm sure he's curled up in a fetal position in the corner of his room right now.
Please.. this wasn't intentional. If they were trying to insult someone, they would've gone with something more effective than a more PC form of the word that's already in his name, and something that he hasn't heard a billion times already in middle school.
