Since the black athlete started dominating the track world beyound the 100 and 200 yard/meters in the 60's and 70's the sport stop receiving the support in the USA it once did and should be receiving now. At a time when tv media is all about sex and good looks and great bodies one would think that track and field would be on the tub at every opportunity. The sport and the African American Athlete receives great attention in Europe and aisa; why not in america.......American racism and bigotry is the reason.

Ms. Felix your grace and beauty are a rare sight. The way you handle yourself as a young lady is a credit to God, your parents, and your faith tradition. May God bless you with health, good luck in Bejing. You are in inspiration I have three daughter and I could only hope that they honor God in the humble way you do. In an era of Marion Jones and doping is refreshing to have an athlete who it appears is doing it the right way. God first. Peace and Blessings.
