The 24-year-old Baranyai, who weighs 169 pounds, was trying to snatch 326 pounds when his elbow popped out of socket. The Telegraph reports:
"There was a dislocation of the elbow but the bones are not broken," Tamas Feher, the Hungarian weightlifting federation chief, said. "They just put it right back, but I think he's lost the rest of the year."The TV announcers chastised the people in the production truck for showing a replay of the incident, saying, "We don't want to see this." But considering that it's been viewed tens of thousands of times on YouTube, it's clear that a lot of people do want to see it.

I hope Janos heals completely, is definitely a freak accident. I am an American living in Hungary. NRen2k5, you are a perfect example of a coward asshole with a keyboard. May you get hit with a big truck.

I live in California, but I was born in Hungary and lived there the first seven years of my life. Not that it matters where this athlete is from, if you enjoyed watching that, I hope you die a slow, painful death.

janos has suffered a vast amount of pain from that accident. He's only 24 years old and he has to experience a dislocated elbow in front of thousands. This might end his career, and it will definitely slow him down. hope he heals fully, if not, hope he can heal well enough to continue his fullfilling his dreams.

I kind of forced of myself to watch this video on the official Olympic site aware of the graphic warning. I am not sure why I had to watch this, curiousity I suppose. I winced before the accident in preparation because I knew it was going to be gross. I feel bad for him, seeing him scream in agony. I wouldn't wish that accident even on NRen2k5. Well, maybe. I hope Baranyai recovers perfectly.
