Brazilian weightlifter Welisson Silva attempted to clean and jerk 162 kilograms (356 pounds), and it didn't go well:
This is the second straight day we've had video of a weightlifter dropping the bar, after Hungary's Janos Baranyai dislocated his elbow. Fortunately, even though Silva fell flat on his back with the bar on top of him, he wasn't hurt.
Silva finished in 18th place in the men's 69-kilogram (152-pound) weight class.

It looks like he purposely fell on his back, and knew how to full with the weight without getting hurt. It looked like as he was squating down he knew it was too heavy and wasn't going anywhere. The way the barbell was positioned he couldn't just drop it. It looked like he was in control the whole time, but it just was too heavy for him to complete the lift.
