After making the game-winning penalty kick in the Women's World Cup in 1999, Brandi Chastain ripped off her jersey in one of the most famous celebrations in sports history.
It's nice to see that Natasha Kai has a sense of history. After the U.S. women beat Brazil today to win the Olympic gold medal, Kai took off her shirt and showed off her sculpted physique and her many tattoos during the celebration.
Kai, who is one of only two openly gay athletes in the 600-member strong U.S. Olympic delegation, was told early this year that she needs to work on her conditioning. I'd say that work paid off.

No she's not like Brandy. She's messed herself up with the tatoos. Hopefully, they aren't permanent. Ugly.

Why do these things get started? One athlete does something and then the lemmings all have to follow. It's like that stupid tradition of dumping the barrel of Gatorade on the football coach after a win. One of these days, the barrel will slip out of their hands and knock a coach unconscious. Then maybe they'll stop doing it. It's so stupid.

As are many Female players, which is why I won't watch womens soccer. Also is is fair that women with severe hormonal imbalances (ie too much testosterone) and or male like brain wiring be allowed to compete with normal girls?
In my opinion, lesbians should compete in their own category or not at all.

Lets not forget about Billy Jean King. They are seen and perform as top athletes and not their sexuality preferances.

#1 - Who cares that she's gay? She's not there to win the medal for most lovers, she's there to play soccer. Her feet have nothing to do with how she uses her vagina.
#2 - W-w-w-w-why-y-y-y is it that people like Allan think all female athletes are gay? And what is "male like brain wiring"? Is it anotomically wrong for a woman to appreciate the simple glory of a sport well-played? Is it only men that are allowed watch the top athletes perform above and beyond in the world's game? And what constitutes a "normal girl"? I think that a "normal girl" is one that has a vagina. When you are a girl, that's the only qualifier - you were born with girl parts.
#3 - Again, on Allan, so you only watch the men play? That's interesting... most of the guys I know enjoy watching the women. These Olympians are some of the best specimens to be found on earth. Their bodies are perfectly muscled and toned for whatever competition they are in. I bet you got a kick out of Michael Phelps's perfect body, too. Those female swimmers - they're probably lesbians, so you won't watch them. Better to watch the men flex and pose.

Generally well said, Cassie. I agree with nearly everything you wrote. As for the rest of you, come in out of the dark ages!
As for me, I prefer to watch the ladies have at it on the beach volleyball court. And to paraphrase Steve Carell, I don't watch beach volleyball becasue of the bikinis. I could care less about what they're wearing ... it's what's underneath that's important!
